- Cook Daal: Pressure cook dal with onion, tomato, ginger, turmeric, and salt. Mash lightly.
- Make Tadka: Heat ghee, temper mustard, cumin, garlic, chilies, asafoetida, and red chili powder.
- Combine: Pour tadka over dal, simmer for 2–3 mins, garnish with coriander.
